| Description | Port Aransas offers surf and back bays and channels. Paddle through the Lydia Ann Channel with the big boats and see the lighthouse. Explore shipwrecks on the bay side of San Jose Island. Drive down CR 361 and paddle out to Shamrock Cove to view the birds. Make sure that you have a map or chart of the area and that you have a GPS. Watch out for strong currents and large ships in the channel. Sit-on-top kayaks and sea kayaks are appropriate for the coast. |
